Once upon a time certain types of guys wouldn't be caught dead in jewelry. Today, you will spot promise rings on teen boys and men from all walks of life. One reason for this is because these rings are crafted to flatter masculine hands with their durable construction and wide band style.
For guys, promise rings are made using silver, gold, stainless steel and titanium. While the first two choices are timeless and traditional, the last two choices are modern and trendy. Price is also a factor in what kind of ring you should get. Gold rings will usually be the most expensive. Sterling silver is very popular because it is moderately priced and durable. Titanium is lightweight, scratch-resistant and fairly inexpensive. Stainless steel is virtually indestructible and very tough looking. It helps to look at rings from each category to see what would be the best for your guy.
When shopping for promise rings, there are two options you can choose from. You can go to your local jewelry store and browse the selection. While you may find a few choices there probably won't be that big of a selection. The Internet is a far better place to shop for jewelry, because there are so many choices from so many different stores. Comparing prices is easy and can be done in mere minutes. You can shop any time of the day or night. Some people worry that they'll order the wrong size. If this happens, you can take the ring to any jeweler and obtain new sizing for a reasonable rate.
Promise rings for men are given for numerous reasons. One of course is as a declaration of love and devotion. Couples can exchange matching rings, with the man's being slightly wider than the woman's. Holidays and birthdays are also ideal occasions for one of these rings. If you are a young woman who has received a promise ring you may want to reciprocate with one of these rings. Because many of them are priced so affordably, even teens with part time employment can afford to get a promise ring for their special someone.
